Brisbane, Australia – On Friday 6 March, federal judge Justice Logan ruled to dismiss all claims by Gordon James Craven against Ready Flowers Pty Ltd and it’s directors Peter Ross Hegarty and Deborah Hegarty. Mr Craven brought a legal case against the company and its directors in 2009, which Justice Logan finally deemed in a closing statement as “a scenario to fit a conception” and that Mr Craven was “mistaken” in his claims against Ready Flowers.

Mr Peter Hegarty, Managing Director of Ready Flowers Pty Ltd, said “Justice Logan’s findings are a great relief in that the matter is now finalised. I hope that Mr Craven’s behaviour of cyber stalking, bulling and vilification of family and friends will now cease. What made this case difficult for everyone were Mr Craven’s self-representation and his continued misconception of how international businesses operate. I am proud of my family for having the resolve to see this case to the end.”

Justice Logan finally deemed in a closing statement as “a scenario to fit a conception” and that Mr Craven was “mistaken” in his claims against Ready Flowers.

Over the years, Mr Craven has taken to the internet to attack and publicly humiliate various companies and public figures such as Malcolm Turnbul, Cannon Inc., The Sunshine Coast City Council and Tourism Tasmania. Mr Craven began his initial case against Ready Flowers in 2009. Soon after starting the case he advised the company’s legal counsel that for ‘AUD $60,000 [he] will effectively go away’. When the company refused to the extortionate demands of the serial cyber-stalker, Mr Craven subsequently continued on with his misguided crusade against Ready Flowers.

After Mr Cravens three failed appeals, Mr Hegarty was fully vindicated with Justice Logan stating that Mr Hegarty had in fact been honest and truthful in all proceedings. Subsequently, Mr Craven’s case was dismissed, with substantial costs from all three appeals owed to Ready Flowers and the Hegarty family. This latest defeat of Mr Craven has left him financially bankrupt, with trustees appointed over his estate on the day of the judgement.

Mr Craven was not available for comment.
